Dr. T. Selvankumar, Professor & Head, Research Department of Biotechnology, Mahendra Arts & Science College, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. He has 25 years of teaching and research experience and specializes in Microbiology, Drug design, Nanotechnology, Biosensors, and Bioremediation technology. For his credits, he was honored with several awards including the Best Teacher Award (2019) and the Best Researcher Award (2022) from Periyar University. He also serves as an Adjunct Faculty and co-guide for research scholars and PG students at Texila American University, Guyana, South America. He has published 130 research articles in National and International Journals with >430 cumulative impact factors and 6 Book chapters. He is a research collaborator with the Department of Environmental Resources, Chonkbuk National University, South Korea, and the Department of Environmental Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Buk-gu, South Korea, and a research consultant for several Agro-industries. He has submitted 48 microbial nucleotide sequence data banks submitted in NCBI. He served as Guest Editor (Special Issue) of Chemical Physics Impact, Elsevier Publisher and Editorial Board Member of “Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology”, Elsevier, Scientific Committee and Editorial Board member of Medical and Biological Sciences, World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology, The Journal of General and Molecular Virology (JGMV), World Journal of Medicine and Medical Science, Asia Pacific International Journal of Engineering Science, etc. He is a member of the “Indian Climate Change Research Network (ICRN)”, “Food Security Information Network (FSIN)”, Member of the International Association of Researchers in the Journal of Natural Substances, and a reviewer of the Journal of Materials Cycles and Waste Management, Annals of Microbiology and Current Microbiology (Springer). He has conducted research projects from UGC, DST-FIST, DBT, MSME and TNSCST.
